I wanted to create a character with a slightly mischievous personality, while still keeping him kind and cozy. That’s how this little raccoon came to life — curious, playful, and just a little bit cheeky.

In this illustration, I especially wanted to play with the raccoon’s distinctive features — the dark mask around his eyes, his striped tail, and his large expressive eyes. I added soft natural tones and decorative elements around the character to create the feeling of a small fairytale world.

I like the contrast between his serious gaze and his gentle smile. There’s something slightly funny about it — as if he is trying very hard to look important, while in reality he is simply sitting there, curiously watching everything happening around him.
